The International Symposium on Unmanned Systems: AI, Design & Efficiency (ISUDEF 2024) is a gathering of researchers, scientists, engineers, practitioners, policymakers, and students working on topics in the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems industry and artificial intelligence (AI). T. Hikmet Karakoc, Ph.D., graduated from Anadolu University, the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He received his M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Yildiz Technical University. He received his Ph.D. from Anadolu University, where he started his full-time teaching and received his Full Professorship. He is currently researching at the Eskisehir Technical University. He has a wide range of research interests, including sustainable aviation, aircraft propulsion systems, insulation, heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC), indoor air quality, gas turbines, cogeneration systems, renewable energy, energy economics, fuels, and combustion. He has participated in numerous industrial projects on these topics as a researcher, consultant, and project manager for over 30 projects and corporations. He also started a contest on special insulation applications among university students. He served as an Editor-in-Chief, guest editor, and editorial board member for international scientific journals. He published national and international papers in over 300 journals and 40 books. Professor Karakoc actively follows membership positions for the Chamber of Mechanical Engineers and many sectorial associations, international scientific organizations, and societies. He is an active Board of Directors member of the International Association for Green Energy. He is currently holding the presidency of the SARES organization, which is actively supporting scientists and students in the area of sustainable aviation. He also organizes four symposiums on aviation subject areas as a Founding Chair.

Khagani Abdullayev, Ph.D., is the Vice-Rector for General and Economic Affairs at the National Aviation Academy, Baku, Azerbaijan. He received his Bachelor's and MSc degrees from the Television and Radio Systems Department, Faculty of Radio Technique at Azerbaijan Technical University. He earned his Ph.D. in Technical Science in 2005, defending his dissertation on Acousto-Optical Temporal-Scale Signal Converters and Their Application to Information Processing. His research interests include radio electronics, optics, remote sensing, and microelectronics.

Alper Dalkran, Ph.D., received his bachelor's degree from the Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Eskisehir Technical University (formerly known as Anadolu University) from the Avionics Department. He completed his MSc degree in Aviation Maintenance at the School of Science at Anadolu University in 2004. He earned his Ph.D. degree in 2017 in Environmental Sustainability on Airports from the School of Science at Anadolu University by developing a model of energy-based calculations of an aerodrome. Dr. Dalkran has studied aircraft engines, sustainability, airports, and exergy. He has 17 years of professional experience in information technology, automation, and airport systems integration. He has managed teams on system-design, projects, tests, commissioning, operational readiness, and operations. He has been working in the School of Aviation at Suleyman Demirel University since 2019 and lecturing in flight theory, airline management, and airport design subjects. He has been promoted to Associated Professor degree in 2024.

Elgun Aghayev, Ph.D., is the Vice-Rector for General and Economic Affairs at the National Aviation Academy, Baku, Azerbaijan. He graduated from the Aviation Transport Organization specialty of the National Aviation Academy of Azerbaijan and earned his Ph.D. in Operation of Surface Complexes, Output Equipment, Flying Machines and Their Systems specialty in 2022, defending his dissertation on the topicRadio-Electronic System for Measuring the Loading Degree of Aircraft.

Fuad Mirzayev, Ph.D., is the Head of the Scientific Information and Patent Department at the National Aviation Academy, Baku, Azerbaijan. He received his bachelor's degree from the Management Department, Faculty of Economics and Low at the National Aviation Academy of Azerbaijan. He received his MSc in Management at the National Aviation Academy of Azerbaijan and his Ph.D. in Field Economy in 2018, defending his dissertation on Investment Activity in the Transportation System of Azerbaijan and Directions for Its Improvement. His research interests include business management, project management, finance, and transport economy.

Bahadr Cinolu, Ph.D., is a computer scientist with an MSc in Flight Training from the Eskisehir Technical University. He has worked as a Lecturer and was the Head of the Cappadocia University Department of UAV Technologies and Operations. He also served as the same institution's UAV Systems Application and Research Center Manager. He received his Ph.D. in the Department of Avionics from the Eskiehir Technical University with a study focused on ensemble learning and fault detection. His research areas include artificial intelligence, smart systems, diagnostics, prognostics, and model-based systems engineering.
