Studio Ghibli is a Tokyo-based animation film studio founded in 1985 by directors Isao Takahata and Hayao Miyazaki. Seven of Studio Ghibli’s films received Academy Award® nominations for Best Animated Feature, with two wins. The Boy and the Heron was awarded the Golden Globe, BAFTA, and the Academy Award® for Best Animated Feature in 2024.
