News today is a genre "in flux". New kinds of news producers and novel means of distributing, sharing and using news align with alternative ways of understanding what news is. She has conducted a broad range of research projects and published several books and articles in the fields of youth studies, media and everyday life, media audience studies and digital culture. Sofia Johansson is associate professor of Media and Communication Studies at Södertörn University. Her research interests cover media audiences, popular journalism, celebrity culture and audiences and digital culture.
