There are many good establishments and developments in our neighbourhood by government but somehow these initiatives are undermined and fully utilised by communities. Amongst other reasons is the fact that communities were never involved from the planning phase of the project and as such their needs are ideally responded to by the interventions. More than ever before the art community consultations has become an integral component of successful planning and implementation of meaningful and people centred programmes and projects. Government has to learn the trade, benefit and impact of collective participation by all citizens and role-players in the targeted space.
