***The most selfish thing Tomás ever did was make Blake the one to find his body.

Nobody knows what goes on inside Alatix Capital - Manhattan's most secretive high-frequency trading firm - except the quant traders who run it. Tomás, Henry, and Blake are the newest ones in.

Tomás, a self-taught math prodigy from rural America, arrives at the firm without an Ivy League degree but with a gambler's edge. Blake, a software engineer and ignored by her family, is determined to stake her claim on a floor run almost entirely by men. Henry, the son of a disgraced hedge fund manager, is desperate to prove that he's more than his family's last name. Together, they form a seemingly unbreakable, and unlikely, trio bonded by intelligence, loyalty, and a near-religious faith in their shared success.

But success comes with a hunger for more in a high-stakes culture. Over the course of one fatal year, the three inseparable friends move up from junior traders to millionaires-in-the-making. As they navigate 100-hour workweeks, their judgments become increasingly clouded by love, ambition, and drugs - and the cost of genius in a system built to exploit it turns out to be unbearable

As their moral compass loses focus, only one question remains: in a game of perfect information, what can't they see coming?
