Robbie was born and brought up in Harare, Zimbabwe and studied horticulture, interior design and photography. He trained in event floristry in London, and started his own company counting Hermes, Dior, Valentino and Vivienne Westwood amongst his many clients.

These credentials have assembled in Robbie's first book, and have served to amass a huge international following on social media. Robbie also lectures and holds masterclasses in floristry at flower schools in London, New York, Beijing and Seoul. He also has a capsule collection of scented candles, the scents, believable reconstructions of the flowers he loves.

This book features more than 90 rare and commonplace plant specimens collected from as far afield as the Malaysian rainforest, roadsides in Harare, the African veldt, Caribbean Islands, or an English churchyard. No plant is beyond reach. Each specimen is meticulously laid out then photographed using an iPhone, as soon as it is picked, to create detailed photographic portraits.
