Birds, the most beautiful creatures of nature, are a group of vertebrates which have feathers, wings and hollow bones as aerial lifestyle adaptation. They are the most liked animals owing to their rich colouration, song, easy identification and liveliness. Any change in the physical, chemical and biological factors of wetlands affects the density, diversity and richness of avian fauna. A lot of work has been done on various aspects of avian diversity in different regions of world. However no information was available on the avian diversity of wetlands of district Fatehabad, Haryana, India. In this book, biodiversity (birds, phytoplankton and zooplankton)of wetlands (Haryana, India) and various factors affecting the biodiversity has been explored. Conservation of biodiversity can be achieved in a better way only if we know the status of any species at a time and also factors affecting it. This book will also act as good reference for future research studies related to assessment of status and abundance of various wetland species.

Autorentext

The author completed her Ph.D. from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, Haryana, India. She has published a number of national as well as international research papers on various aspects of biodiversity. Currently, she is working as lecturer in Secondary Education Department of Haryana, India.
