There are survival books, then there is this survival book. It's pragmatic, it's practical, and served with a twist of sarcasm. Even better, it's written by a Navy SEAL so you know it's good. The context is fictional zombie apocalypse, but the advice is real and applicable to short to medium-term survival in the case of just about any realistic disaster or catastrophe. It touches on long-term survival needs, but this isn't a book about building mud-huts and knitting wool pants. This is the book to follow so you live long enough to get to that point. In here, you'll get the scoop on:Weapons and firearms First-aid and medical Food and water Gear and supplies Tactical tips and strategies Leadership and mindset Lots of corny dad jokes Other important stuff! This book is rated PG-13, no F-bombs but it does discuss some stuff better suited for about age 12+. By purchasing this book, you are supporting the Navy SEAL Foundation. It's a pretty great gig when your 9-to-5 is to put bad guys in their grave, but it comes with some inherent risk. For starters, those bad men tend to not be cooperative with your mission success, so you have to go find them, typically into not very friendly places. To do my job, I've trained and operated in many situations relevant to this book. I've spent combined weeks of my life underwater, hundreds of high-altitude jumps, fought in multiple wars & conflicts both as a SEAL and a military contractor and various alphabet soup agencies, operated in all kinds of climates, and that's all just side effects of carrying out a mission. Staying alive and functioning was merely a condition to completing the objective. Surviving a zombie apocalypse isn't much different. While I can't put you through the training I've done over the past couple decades, I can pass on some of the lessons learned. I've literally dedicated my life to this stuff, and I want to share it with you. There's some good info in here, but this book is first and foremost for fun. Don't get offended or take anything too seriously.
