Gold is the most after sought mineral. Ever since its invention the lust for this has increased enormously. In this book a compilation of Gold mineralisation in Banded Iron Formations in Chitradurga Schist Belt especially the low grade high tonnage type of deposits is highlighted. The Banded Iron Formations are considered to be the potential sources of Gold as Refractory type . The vast occurences are useful target for exploration and exploitation of future economy of our country.
