A few months before the Russia-Ukraine war started, Patrick rode a motorbike from Moscow to the Caucasus across the Cossack Plains and went up Mount Elbrus on a snow scooter. From Orthodox-Christian Russia in the Moscow area to the Muslim South to finally end up in Sochi at the Black Sea Coast. Before that he tested Covid19 rules in various European countries, causing Patrick to re-name the place 'Coronistan'. He also updated some of his previous travel stories in earthquake Italy, went to a wedding in New Zealand, rode with Vikings in Georgia, searched for vultures in the Pyrenees, experienced a culture shock in Shanghai, sweated away in England's Lake District and enjoyed the high roads in Switzerland.
