Nicolas Namoradze received his doctorate from the CUNY Graduate Center in 2020, where his dissertation "Macroharmony in Ligeti's Piano Etudes, Book 3" has been nominated for the Barry S. Brook award. He served for several years on the faculty of Queens College, CUNY, where he taught music history, composition, and chamber music. Namoradze is currently active as a composer and concert pianist, having won the triennial Honens International Piano Competition in 2018, the largest piano prize in the world. He also pursues a postgraduate degree in neuropsychology at King's College, London.
