Mark Twain was the pen name of Samuel L. Clemens, who was born in 1835. His folksy humor and regional realism grew out of his childhood in Missouri along the Mississippi River. He came to be known as the Father of American Literature for his satirical comedy in short stories, novels, and essays that give us an unflinching look at the rapidly changing world of the nineteenth century.

Literary Outlaw is a modern pulp fiction magazine featuring both original fiction as well as classic stories and comics from the public domain. Personal Recollections of Joan of Arc by Mark Twain is a fictionalized account of the life and death of Joan d'Arc, as told by her page, Sieur Louis de Conte. Twain said of this often overlooked work: "I like Joan of Arc best of all my books; and it is the best; I know it perfectly well. And besides, it furnished me seven times the pleasure afforded me by any of the others; twelve years of preparation, and two years of writing. The others needed no preparation and got none." In Legendarium II: The Wrath of Bob by Michael Bunker and Kevin G. Summers, a pair of authors are transported to a magical library at the nexus where all stories intersect. Together they travel through various works of literature that are under attack by faceless shadow demons.
