Malene Sølvsten, geboren 1977, debütierte 2016 mit dem ersten Band der Fantasy-Trilogie DAS FLÜSTERN DER RABEN und wurde im selben Jahr für den Buchpreis der Leser:innen' (Læsernes Bogpris') nominiert. Die Serie entwickelte sich in Dänemark rasch zu einem Überraschungserfolg und Bestseller, für den die Autorin 2018 den Edvard P. prisen' vom dänischen Bibliotheksverband erhielt.
