The book explains the Environmental Protection Legislation in the Republic of Croatia and its adjustment to EU Legislation. The authors analyzed the administrative capacities in Croatia, as well as projects implemented in Croatia related to environmental protection. The book presented some of scientific knowledge of climate change, impacts and adaptation measures of climate changes and emission reduction potential associated with the Directives. The authors explained the financial possibilities of Croatia as EU members, i.e., the use of EU funds, as well as opportunities for further use of EU funds. With special emphasis the book analyzed the importance of Cohesion Policy in the Republic of Croatia and its division into NUTS regions. The book is intended for students and the public administration in order to be familiar with applicable regulations of the Croatian and the EU in the field of environmental protection. Special objective of this book is to emphasize the importance of using EU funds in Croatia.

Majda Juric was born 1967 in Zenica, Bosna and Herzegovina.She graduated 1995, on the Faculty of Chemistry and technology in Split,Croatia, orientation - Environmental protection. Majda was enrolled postgraduate doctoral studies at the Faculty of Maritime Studies in Rijeka,Croatia.In the current research,in coauthors she has published ten papers.
