Rose and Chris are the two central characters in this book. They are immersed in what could be considered to be a wound mate relationship and they both have many past unresolved hurts. Consequently, they continually find themselves in a psychological power struggle with each other. As time marches on, Rose wakes up more and more to the spirit world and she has to gradually accept that she is on a strong spiritual path. Chris isn't a believer in spirituality though and wants Rose to succumb to his will. At the beginning, Rose is insecure and quiet but she begins to accept that she is psychic and spiritually gifted. Will she eventually find her voice?
