The Irish economy collapsed in mid 2008 and with that was the once booming construction industry. Today the only large construction projects remaining are the Concession Roads that are been constructed throughout the country. However only a small proportion of the work is been carried out by Irish Contractors. Now, today with many Construction contractors out of work one has to question why Government funded work is not been solely completed by Irish contractors.
