This is a well-written book, based on archival material from Germany, Russia and the Netherlands. overall Braskén has produced a highly valuable contribution to the history of the international communist movementof the 1920s. Kasper Braskén is Postdoctoral Researcher at Åbo Akademi University, Turku, Finland. He is a historian specialising in German, transnational and social movement history. He is the co-editor of H-Socialisms and the author of several articles on international solidarity, communism and anti-fascism.
