Quality of experience in this new technological environment is affected by the learning curve involved in being able to use the new interfaces in a satisfactory way. The author explores the variations in quality of experience when considering learning and ethics when interacting with new, emerging technologies. Dr. Josephina Antoniou is an Assistant Professor in Computing at University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), Cyprus. She is also the Course Leader for the MSc Computing program at UCLan Cyprus, the chair of the ACM-W (Association of Computing Machinery Women) Cyprus, and the Cyprus Collegiate Programming Contest Director for ACM. For the last year she is also a member of the Editorial Board for the "International Journal of Wearable Device".
