Jessica Shadian is Senior Research Fellow at the High North Center for Business and Governance, Bodo Graduate School for Business and Governance, in Bodo, Norway. Her research explores the emerging political changes in the Arctic, including the historical, legal and political issues of industrial development and sustainable resource management. She is the co-editor with Monica Tennberg of Legacies and Change in Polar Science: Historical, Legal and Political Reflections on The International Polar Year (Ashgate Press, 2009). Rob Huebert is Associate Director of the Centre for Military and Strategic Studies and associate professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Calgary, Canada. He also is a fellow with Canadian Defence and Foreign Affairs Institute. He has published on the issue of Canadian Arctic Security, Maritime Security, and Canadian Defence in International Journal; Canadian Foreign Policy, and Isuma: Canadian Journal of Policy Research and Canadian Military Journal.
