In retirement, Jerry Hammersmith writes fiction and non-fiction. He holds a Doctorate in Education from the University of South Africa. Holding a Doctorate in Comparative Education from the University of South Africa, Jerry Hammersmith also has a B.Ed. and M.Ed. from the University of Saskatchewan and has taught in Canadian and New Zealand universities. Hammersmith has been a Provincial Cabinet Minister and a Territorial Deputy Minister in Canada.
