Klappentext

Beloved character Big Panda shares tips to discover a sense of calm, while his friend Tiny Dragon offers motivation to find hope, in a special two-in-one book from bestselling author and illustrator James Norbury—a collection of reflections and illustrations to provide peace, comfort, and assurance during life’s most stressful and despondent times.

Big Panda’s Little Book of Calm

“Worry doesn’t stop the rain. It only keeps you indoors, watching for storms that never come.”

On Big Panda’s adventures with Tiny Dragon, he has met many new companions and seen the way an uncomfortable feeling sometimes steals over them—a tightness in their chest, a gnawing in their mind.

Anxiety is like an overprotective friend trying to shield us from pain, but it can creep up, even in the most serene environments, and become all-consuming. Big Panda shares quiet meditations for moments like these, reminders that we have survived all the hurt we have endured, and that imagining future pain only steals our peace in the present.

With Big Panda as our gentle guide, Big Panda’s Little Book of Calm is an invitation to pause, breathe, and rediscover stillness so we can find balance, comfort, and clarity.

Tiny Dragon’s Little Book of Hope

“Take heart. We can progress. We can always take a step forward.”

No matter how many journeys Tiny Dragon embarks on with Big Panda, he still reaches a point where it feels impossible to go any further. Roadblocks look immovable; loss appears unavoidable; and despair seems overwhelming. In situations like these, how can we possibly proceed?

Rather than succumbing to our circumstances, Tiny Dragon invites us to join him in finding a new path through tribulation, one where, instead of tirelessly forging ahead on our own, we rest when we need and lean on our support systems for strength. Even though the first step toward light and healing will be difficult, it’s one we can find the strength to take.

The companion to Big Panda’s Little Book of Calm, Tiny Dragon’s Little Book of Hope helps us gather the motivation to keep moving forward in life’s most trying hours.
