Why is Iran-which has not attacked any country in over two centuries-portrayed as the primary threat in the Middle East? Why is Iran portrayed as an irrational power, determined to acquire nuclear weapons, support terrorism, and destroy Israel? Yet such claims have been systematically used to attack Iran for the past fifty years.Drawing on several hundred sources, including official documents, reports from international organizations, and a meticulous analysis of military operations, Jacques Baud reconstructs the chain of e s that led to the confrontation between the United States, Israel, and Iran. He also analyzes Iran's response since 2024. Through Operation Sincere Promise, Tehran is countering its adversaries with a strategy of gradual retaliation that combines missiles, drones, decentralized command, and de-escalation. For the first time, Israel and the United States are discovering that they can no longer strike with impunity.Rigorous, well-researched, and challenging conventional wisdom, Wars Against Iran chronicles not merely a conflict, but the shift toward a world in which the West can no longer impose its will without facing resistance.
