It blends the expertise of engineers and physicians in order to respond to the growing demand for minimally invasive procedures. Detailed color images help guide readers through the latest techniques, including cranial, orthopedic, prostrate, and endovascular interventions. All the current tools of the trade are covered, including localizers/tracking systems, augmented reality, rigid body registration, and high frequency ultrasound. This book is a useful reference for engineers, physicists, computer scientists, and physicians working with image guidance technologies.
The first book in the field to provide a comprehensive overview of the subject Includes technology and applications-oriented chapters written by engineers and physicians Features color images Provides in-depth coverage of the current tools used in image-guided surgery Authored by leading researchers in the field Includes supplementary material: sn.pub/extras
