In this book, Guy Paulin NTAFEN MBATCHOU analyses the new stumbling blocks facing African philosophy. He begins with the observation that 'Africanism' is nothing more than an ideological prison and that the multiple pandemics are undermining the burgeoning energy in the field of philosophy. Beyond this dual theoretical and political pitfall, he urges African leaders to spare no effort in promoting free thought by awarding grants to young philosophers, whilst also organising regular philosophy conferences, so that Africa may finally emerge from its lethargy and, consequently, its underdevelopment.
