Klappentext

The original fantasy detective returns after a decade-long wait, for his last farewell adventure. Much like Hercule Poirot in Agatha Christie's Curtain, this is an older, more sober Garrett. He is married now (albeit to a sorceress) and has almost become 'respectable.' He is leading a comfortable life as the confidential operator of the Crown Prince himself.  But things turn inside out as soon as he starts keeping a round-the-clock eye, for the Prince, on the woman registered under the name of Morose Spirit. He should have known. The money was too good, the job too simple, and nothing is as it appears.

Then someone starts taking Garrett apart — memory, body, luck — one curse at a time.

Last Metal Romance is a complete case, readable cold as a befitting introduction to one of the most popular characters ever created in the genre. It is also a bittersweet homecoming for everyone who has been waiting since Wicked Bronze Ambition … a fitting farewell to one of the most iconic and beloved characters in detective fantasy.

For readers of The Dresden Files and The Tainted Cup: this is the series that taught the genre to talk out of the side of its mouth.
