This book covers some fundamental aspects and frontiers in non-equilibrium physics and soft matter research. Professor Xiang-Yang Liu is joint professor at Xiamen University, China and National University of Singapore, Singapore. He is currently the State Distinguished Professor of the 1000 Talent Program, Chair Professor of China MOE Changjiang Scholars Program. He is the vice Dean of the College of Physical Science and Technology, Director of the Research Institute for Biomimetics and Soft Matter, Xiamen University, the State 111 Intellectual Recruitment Base, the Director of Fujian Provincial Key Laboratory for Flexible Materials etc. > 300 peer reviewed papers, including > 70 papers in high impact journals, ie. Nature, Chem. Soc. Rev, JACS, Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv. Mater., Nature Comm., Phys. Rev.
