The Long Red Tomorrow

Klappentext

A disgraced ex-cop and his dog must infiltrate a Martian underworld filled with dark alleys and darker secrets in this razor-sharp sci-fi debut.

They advertised New Providence as an off-world utopia. A shining beacon of hope, expansion, and progress in the red dust of Mars. They lied. Now the corporate colony is a familiar kind of hell. Overpopulated, resource-starved, and on the precipice of revolt.

Freelance fixer Jude Landry doesn't give a damn about any of it. His life is back on Earth. But when his old friend Miggy reaches out with a job--and a promise to scrub Jude's bloody past clean--he can't turn it down.

The brief seems straightforward enough. In a city lousy with surveillance, Jude and his rescue dog, Lot, only need to find one missing miner: Tremaine Gant. But in New Providence, everything's crooked and everyone's working an angle.

Tremaine's trail leads all the way back to the colony's settlement and its enigmatic founder, by way of seditious gangsters and corporate revolutionaries. Chasing the truth, Jude will place himself in the crosshairs of the high and the low, the law and the lawless, all the while outrunning his own demons . . .

Blending the techno-futurism of Philip K. Dick, the political plotting of Pierce Brown, and the character-driven drama of James S. A. Corey, The Long Red Tomorrow is a gritty science-fiction thriller guaranteed to make for an unforgettable ride.

Tropes include: lone hero, underdog hero, corrupt government, corporate conspiracy, femme fatale, and the dog doesn't die.
