The Beginning

Klappentext

A psychological thriller about a woman returning to the house she was never meant to see again.

The first sign they weren't alone was the footprints

When university student Lara inherits an isolated house by the sea from her recently deceased, estranged grandfather, her spontaneous friend, Bobbi, convinces her to spend their Christmas holidays there.

But the winter getaway quickly spirals into a nightmare.

Trapped in the remote, snowbound house, the women are plagued by strange events. The power fails without warning. Footprints appear in the snow. Lights flicker on distant stretches of beach. And no matter where Lara looks, she can't shake the feeling that somebody is watching.

Then they discover evidence that they are not alone.

As the weather worsens and the outside world slips out of reach, Lara begins to suspect that her grandfather left behind more than an empty house. Someone has been waiting for her return.

And they seem to know far more about her than they should.

The Beginning is Book One in the Lara series, perfect for readers who love psychological suspense, isolated settings, unreliable relationships, and dark family mysteries.
