Douglas P. Fry is Professor Emeritus of Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Docent of Cross-Cultural Developmental Psychology at Åbo Akademi University in Vasa, Finland, and Adjunct Senior Research Scholar at the Advanced Consortium on Cooperation, Conflict, and Complexity at Columbia University. He holds a doctorate in Anthropology from Indiana University. Fry's articles on war and peace have been published in leading journals such as Science, Humanities and Social Sciences Communications, and American Anthropologist . His books include Advanced Introduction to Conflict Resolution , Nurturing Our Humanity (with Riane Eisler), War, Peace and Human Nature , Beyond War , and Keeping the Peace , among others.

Geneviève Souillac earned her PhD in Philosophy from the University of Hong Kong. She has held academic positions in Hong Kong, Australia, Finland, the United States, and Japan, where she was Academic Programme Associate at the United Nations University. Most recently, she was Professor in the Department of Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She co-authored Societies within peace systems avoid war and build positive intergroup relationships published open access in the journal Humanities and Social Sciences Communications , 2021. Dr. Souillac is the author of A Study in Transborder Ethics , The Burden of Democracy , and Human Rights in Crisis as well as many book chapters and journal articles on global ethics and cultural histories of peace. She is currently affiliated with the Faculty of Theology at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KUL) where she is conducting research at the intersection of Continental Philosophy and theological ethics for peace.
