Klappentext

Every night, Liam studied the stars sparkling in the velvety sky. Their light embraced him. "I wish I could hug you back, my friends," he whispered. Liam loves watching the night sky through his telescope. One night, he sees a star falling out of the sky. He runs into the yard to catch it in a net, and notices the star's light is dim. Despite his efforts, he isn't able to nurse it back to health. That is, until he makes a simple wish.

"I wish I knew how to help you."

Through the power of his selfless wishes and friendship, the star steadily grows brighter. With Liam's nurturing, Little Star heals over time, gaining strength, vigor, and more shine. Liam and Little Star enjoy outdoor games, the swings, and even celebrating Shabbat together.

But stars belong in the sky, and once Little Star bursts into light, Liam knows it's time to let his friend go. And though he misses Little Star, Liam is reminded of their bond every Shabbat, as the candles burn bright.

Stunning artwork by Dikshaa Pawaskar details the beauty of the night sky and brings warmth to this gentle bedtime story for families. Children will learn SEL values about empathy, selflessness, and caring for others in need.
