This book provides an insight into the nonwoven s
market and presents information about performance
targets of nonwoven industry, technology barriers to
achieving these targets and the priorities related
to research and development for achieving the
targets. Rather than relying solely on secondary
data sources, this study used a mixed method
approach to data collection and analysis. The
results were generated based upon the
recommendations of the panels of experts that
included personnel from nonwovens industry, INDA,
NCRC, NC State University Faculty and economic
development committees NC State University. Finally
the research proposes an action plan for the College
of Textiles in the areas of the types of
collaborations with the nonwoven industry and
allocation of research and development resources to
better serve nonwoven industry.

Autorentext

The author was born in Karachi, Pakistan on June 21,
1979. He graduated from Textile Institute of Pakistan with a
bachelor of science in 2000. He earned his Master of Science
degree from North Carolina State University in Textile
Technology Management in 2006. Asad currently lives and works in
Los Angeles, California.
