Alguno is a professor in the Department of Materials and Resources Engineering and Technology at Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT), specializing in semiconductor physics, solar cell technology, and nanotechnology. He obtained his Ph.D. in Physics at Tohoku University, Japan. His research spans a broad range of fields, including sensor technology, quantum dots, and advanced functional materials.

Dr. Rey Y. Capangpangan is a distinguished researcher and educator specializing in catalysis for environmental applications and the development of advanced nano-based catalysts. A professor at the Mindanao State University at Naawan (MSUN), Philippines, he has led impactful projects on synthesizing and characterizing catalyst materials aimed at environmental remediation, pollution control, and sustainable energy solutions. His groundbreaking work in environmental catalysis addresses critical challenges in water and air pollution, establishing him as a leading voice in the field of environmental chemistry.
