Guilherme Malafaia is a Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at the Goiano Federal Institute Urutaí Campus (Goiás, Brazil), where he also coordinates the Laboratory of Toxicology Applied to the Environment. With a strong academic backgroundincluding a Ph.D. in Agrarian Sciences and eight postdoctoral fellowships in Environmental Sciencesand more than 350 peer-reviewed publications, Dr. Malafaia is a leading expert in aquatic ecotoxicology, specializing in the environmental impact of legacy pollutants and emerging contaminants.His research focuses on the ecotoxicity of nanomaterials, micro- and nanoplastics, pesticides, pharmaceuticals, and personal care products in aquatic ecosystems.
