Introduction to Biometrics

This first book to introduce the fundamentals of biometrics; it covers common modalities including fingerprint, face, iris, hand geometry, signature and voice. Exercises help readers gain experience in designing computer programs for biometric applications.

First textbook in rapidly emerging field of biometrics

Describes terminology employed by researchers and practitioners in the field

Based on authors' course material/tutorials

Website maintained by authors includes links to standard biometric datasets, exercises and homework problems, review papers and errata
