Traffic congestion is a critical problem in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia due to the fast-growing economy, car ownership and population in the city. Signalized intersections are areas, where traffic congestion is severe. A study was carried out to evaluate the performance of the intersection in terms of delay based on Level of Service (LOS), Accident records and based on that appropriate remedies are recommended to improve the performance.
