What a beautiful day it is! Our silvery hearts are very happy you noticed us. People call us manacles. We were used in the olden days to make sure naughty thieves could not escape when they were caught by the police. We are made to be strong, indestructible, and designed never to be taken apart. For centuries, we tied people's hands together. That is, until we belonged to a bright star like yourself, called Erik Weisz. We would love to tell you more about Erik and how he became the greatest magician who ever lived. This is the first book of the Bright Star Bazaar a series of books about forgotten objects that changed the course of history. Our world is continuously changing. Many of these changes start with someone inventing something. Over time, as more people use the discovered object and it travels all over the world, some of them become part of something bigger, while others cease to exist, making way for better alternatives. This series of books tells the stories of some of the inventions that changed the world. More importantly, we share how they helped people achieve incredible things. It is our sincere wish that these stories, of which the Magical Manacles is the first, leave you inspired, awaken your imagination, and offer you a new way of looking at the rapidly changing world we live in.
