This book provides valuable data about the weeds and invasive plants in the reclaimed areas in the Nile Delta of Egypt. In this context, this book gives a contribution to the ecology of weeds and invasive plants including their response to living and non-living factors including aspects of soil-plant relationships and plant-plant interactions (allelopathy). In addition, this book includes phytochemical analysis, antimicrobial and antioxidant activities of fifteen important plant species.

I am Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Abd El-Gawad, Assistant Professor at Botany Department, Faculty of Science, Mansoura University, Egypt. I am interest in plant ecology, ecophysiology, allelopathy and weed ecology.
