Badi H. Baltagi is a Distinguished Professor of Economics at Syracuse University, known for his influential work in econometrics. He has served as editor for Economics Letters and Empirical Economics, and as replication editor for the Journal of Applied Econometrics. A Fellow of the Journal of Econometrics, Baltagi has received numerous accolades, including the Plura Scripsit Award from Econometric Theory and the Distinguished Authors Award from the Journal of Applied Econometrics. He co-edits the Advanced Studies in Theoretical and Applied Econometrics series (Springer) and is the author of foundational texts such as Econometric Analysis of Panel Data and Econometrics (both Springer). László Mátyás is a renowned Hungarian-Australian economist and econometrician, currently a University Professor at the Department of Economics at Central European University (CEU), with campuses in Budapest and Vienna. He is widely recognized for his contributions to econometrics, particularly in panel data analysis, and has (co)authored and (co)edited several high-impact works. Mátyás previously served as Senior Lecturer at Monash University (Melbourne, Australia) and was the founding Director of the Institute for Economic Analysis in Budapest. He also held the position of Provost at CEU. Currently, he co-edits the Springer series Advanced Studies in Theoretical and Applied Econometrics, and his recent volume, Seven Decades of Econometrics and Beyond, is the 14th book he has edited or co-authored in his distinguished career.
