This publication engages with a futuristic progressive vision on the condition of cinema. By questioning and analyzing cinema's past and present industry with respect to various forms of staging from the perspective of artistic practice and research, a new space beyond is formulated. ROSA BARBA (*1972, Agrigent, Italien) ist eine viel beachtete filmisch arbeitende Künstlerin. Sie wurde vielfach ausgezeichnet, u.a. mit dem renommierten Calder Prize. Ihr Werk wurde unter anderem im Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Madrid, der Schirn Kunsthalle, Frankfurt und dem MIT List Visual Arts Center, Cambridge, MA ausgestellt.
