Wanda the wander mouse gets shipwrecked and is washed up at the Lizard Isle. There she makes friends with Quork the frog dragon. Together they experience their first adventure. When Quork shows the island to Wanda, they find a treasure map on the Lizard Isle. Shortly after, pirates land on the island and look for the map. The pirate Grace Graceful is left behind in a rock crevice by pirate captain Blackbeard. Wanda and Quork free her and together with Grace they sail to the Parrot Isle. There, they meet Blackbeard and his pirates.

Ralph Ratz:Ralph Ratz, born 1969 in GermanyMy family and I took a break in 2012 and traveled to New Zealand. All in all we were on the road for 6 months and 11 days, and already half-way through, we ran out of reading material for our goodnight stories. What now? Spontaneously, I told a story I made up in that moment. And that was the birth of Wanda and Quork! At first, I did not realize what was growing there. My children have encouraged me to write this book and for this, I am very grateful to them! We all carry desires, longings and ideas in us (even if sometimes we are unaware of this fact).This book is meant to encourage people to do things they would not otherwise do. Be brave and do it!
