They have used research based principles and programs to: - completely reorganize their system for treating juveniles -reduce crime and recidivism -and saved money in the process. Peter Greenwood is a nationally recognized expert in the fields of juvenile justice, delinquency prevention and sentencing policy. His most recently published book and articles include: Juvenile Crime and Juvenile Justice (coauthored with Susan Turner) in James Q. Dr. Greenwood was the founding Director of the RAND Corporation's Criminal Justice Program and has served on Research Advisory Boards for the Blueprints Project and the California Attorney General. He is currently the Executive Director of Advancing Evidence Based Practice and maintains a private consulting practice. He is a graduate of the US Naval Academy and earned a PhD at Stanford. in Industrial Engineering. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Experimental Criminology and recipient of the August Volmer Award from the American Society of Criminology.
