Both editors have been Chairs of large pediatric radiology departments: Dr. Lucaya was Chair at Vall d'Hebron Hospital, Barcelona, Spain, and Dr. Strife was Chair at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, USA. They have both had a life-long interest in pediatric chest imaging, and are great teachers and writers. They have selected internationally acclaimed authors, all of whom have expertise in imaging the pediatric chest.
