Nicole Engelbrecht spent 20 years in corporate management before venturing into creative entrepreneurship. In 2019, she launched South Africa's first victim-focused true-crime podcast, True Crime South Africa. It has become Africa's most successful true-crime podcast and one of the most listened to podcasts in South Africa. She has also collaborated with Showmax to develop the country's first companion podcasts for true-crime documentaries.
