Dr. Mohammad Azam Ansari is currently working as Associate Professor at the Institute for Research & Medical Consultation, Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University, Dammam, Saudi Arabia. He obtained his PhD in 2013 from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India. He had earlier served as Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Medical Sciences, Buraidah Private Colleges, Saudi Arabia (2014-2017). His research interest is in green synthesis of different kinds of metal and metal oxides nanomaterials by using microbes and various part of the plants, and characterization of their biomedical applications. He has more than 10 years of research and teaching experience and his research work mainly focused on nanoformulation of phytochemicals and nanomaterials for biomedical and pharmaceutical applications such as antimicrobial, antibiofilm, anti-quorum sensing, anticancer, drug delivery and their application in human health. His publications are cited over 7150 times as per google scholar with an h-Index of 49. Also, he has Post Doctoral Fellow experience from the Department of Biotechnology, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, India as well as in the Division of Rheumatology, Department of Orthopedics and Division of Infectious Diseases, School of Medicine, Case Western Reserve University (CWRU), Cleveland, Ohio, U. S. A. Currently, he is Member, Fellowship Committee of Indian Academy of Biomedical Sciences (IABS), Lucknow, India as well as Executive Committee Member of SFRR-India. He was Lead Guest Editor of peer reviewed International Journal named Journal of Pathogens, Hindawi. He was President of Indian Academy of Biomedical Sciences in 2015, Vice President in 2014 and Joint Secretary in 2013. He was also the external co-opted Member of Board of Studies, Department Biochemistry, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, U. P., and Department of Biochemistry, University of Allahabad, U. P., India. Furthermore, he is also the Editorial Board Member of the journal "Annals of Phytomedicine", India.
