The volume documents Friedrich Schleiermacher's (17681834) lectures on the Theological Encyclopedia based on lecture transcripts from 181617 and 183132. They formed the basis for his textbook A Brief Account of Theological Studies, published in 1811 and then in a second edition in 1830. For the first time, this book makes available lecture transcripts about both editions of the Brief Account.
