The Mobility Directive forms the basis of corporations' increasing mobility in the single market in that it creates consistent regulations for international changes to legal forms, divisions, and mergers for European corporations. There are, however, numerous fundamental issues and issues of detail in the implementation of the directive in national law, which the contributions in this special issue address.
