This book offers a micro-sociological study of media-transmitted sexuality. Using the example of the Camming community, whose members share webcam images of their naked bodies with others, it shows how bodies themselves become media in such auto-pornographic media practice. The study methodically explores the boundaries of shame and the possibilities for conducting ethnographic research of deviant practices on one's own body.
