Sabrina Söchtig examines the understanding of truth held by the theologian Paul Tillich (18861965). For the first time, based on Tillich's lecture on the philosophy of religion (1920), the author evaluates Tillich's understanding of non-Christian religions. The lecture forms a core element in his treatment of the problem of truth. The correlation between philosophy of religion and theology proves to be a key function in this analysis.
