This volume addresses antitrust law in West German practice between 1945 and 1958, a period shaped by the decartelization laws passed on American initiative. These laws have not been the subject of any systematic scholarly study to date. The laws left room for considerable interpretative freedom, which was exploited by German and Allied authorities as it was by the courts, often with conflicting results.
