This work addresses legal questions surrounding the Pfandbrief , a German bank debenture. Regulations on the refinancing register (§§ 22a to 22o of the Banking Act) are covered individually. Relevant ancillary laws are included in the appendix. The 3rd edition contains the amendments to the Pfandbrief Act, Banking Act, and the Building and Loan Association Act, which now allows building societies to become mortgage lending institutions.
